I am legitimately happy that Barack won. Hell, much to even my surprise, I voted for him, but this messiah thing that people have for him has to go.
I have endured years of hearing what an asshole that Bush is. (And even believe some of it to an extent.) Then came the months of seeing Obama stickers, signs, and propaganda style Hope posters. The home stretch came with old ladies beseeching me to "Vote! Whatever you do, please vote! And I hope you vote for Obama!". The cherry on the sundae was the exhortations of every blog and Facebook status I saw telling me to "not fuck this up! Vote!".
Now it's time to enjoy perhaps a couple of weeks of golden silence here in the land of liberalism. Starting in January, we'll see if Obama can turn this ginormous turd of an economy around. If he can, then this messiah shit is not going to end. If he can't, he'll be Jimmy Carter for a new generation and it will be time for Alaska's idiot empress and her mongoloid hordes to give things a shot.

I want to make a series of bumper stickers that are designed exactly like campaign bumper stickers, but that read not "Obama and Biden" or "McCain and Palin", but rather "I buy Rhetoric!". I say this because I sympathize with your attitude...and I believe people tend to confuse religious and political phenomena.
I think Obama is exciting for one chief reason: precisely because he seems ready *to* reason. He seems prepared to surround himself with professionals, and simply reason in a mature and sensible way what action he should take. As fundamental as this process seems, it has been absent from American politics for too long, and to the world's detriment.
And yes, I also hate being asked if I have voted 10,000,000 times.
I am another southern boy (although I am very well travelled across this great nation and a few other countries) but not an idiot if I may say so myself. I was blasted daily for my support for Obama, Wilkes went 69/30 for Mc C.
I like some of Obamas policies but Messiah he is not for how can there be two? Since I am the Messiah he can’t be. But the true icing to this cake of stupidity and down right brain damage of the locals is that i have heard more than one southern Baptist proclaim that the end is near. Quoting revelations chapter 3 over and over he will be a Muslim (which it does not I have a copy of the KJV and can read). (Who is a Muslim and since freedom of religion is one of our founding thingies why should it matter if he were?)they say It is only a matter of months after he fills key government positions with his al-Qaida friends then opens the doors of terror to take over the Good Ole U.S of A. If there is a God of anything I pray these idiots try to save themselves with some good old Jim Jones brand Kool-Aid.
Anyway maybe this will force the Repubs to reassess the fucking base and see that all of America needs representation not just those who attend church after ass humping a male prostitute while smoking some crystal (ted you know who you are). I am thinking of moving to Watauga it is the closest blue county. I am by nature one of the most pessimistic assholes one who doesn’t know me could meet mostly anyway but I actual have a slight buzz of optimism for this Obama fellow.
and i know run on run on fragment i went to cllege for religion, histry and lit not fn grammer.
